Your Responsibilities as an Irrigation Technician

· Front-Line Employee -

o You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be a front-line employee who provides exceptional care of our customers’ properties.

o The team looks to you to install pipe, heads, valves, wire, controller, and sensors. In addition, you must be able to operate basic equipment safely.

o You must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often.

o You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.

· Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical for every member of the team to set an example on attendance.

· Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.

· Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.

· Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.

· Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all of the above possible.

Job Requirements for Irrigation Technician

• You must be willing to complete training to get all required certifications and licenses.

In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position.

• Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer.
• Positive attitude is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $16 to $25 and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional as well as in leading a team.

The Grounds Guys of East Wichita pays bi-weekly. After $5000 earned, we offer an IRA retirement plan.

After a year of service, we offer:

• 40 Hours PTO
• 3 Paid sick days

• Production driven bonus program- up to 15% of your yearly wage

After 2 years of service, we offer longevity pay.
