Key Responsibilities

As a Production Manager, you are responsible for the overall production of the business.

  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, select, train, develop, coach, and mentor all Team Leaders and their crews.
  • Set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Customer Relationships & Sales Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Identify, propose, and sell upgrades to existing service contracts when appropriate.
  • Field Operations & Production Control

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the company’s field production processes.
  • Ensure services are delivered efficiently, at the right cost, and at the expected quality level.
  • Implement The Grounds Guys franchise systems effectively and consistently across the business.
  • Schedule and direct personnel and resources to provide safe, high-quality, and cost-effective service.
  • Daily Management

  • Manage and schedule crews on a daily basis.
  • Ensure property maintenance (PMs) are completed and maintained.
  • Optimize routes for efficiency and ensure proper time clock and labor management.
  • Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for a proactive leader with a strong work ethic who is a self-starter and can work well with both the public and our employees.

Preferred:

  • Fertilizer and Pest Control License (Top candidates must have this license.)
  • Knowledge and experience with:
  • Irrigation inspections and repairs
  • Landscaping
  • Fertilizer and pest control

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to operate and perform basic preventative maintenance on:
  • Mowers
  • Trimmers
  • Tractors
  • Other lawn and landscape equipment
  • Willingness to complete any required training, certifications, and licenses within 6 months, if not already obtained.
  • Clean driving history and experience driving a truck with a trailer.

Benefits & Pay

  • Pay range: $22 – $25 per hour, depending on experience in lawn care/landscaping and team leadership.
  • Salary options available for the right candidate.
  • Top candidate must have a Fertilizer and Pest License.
  • Supplemental insurance, including vision and dental.
  • 1 week of accrued vacation.
