Your Responsibilities as a Business Developer
· Manage the Sales –
o You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be meeting with clients about designing landscapes, enhancing existing landscapes to creating new landscapes according to clients requests. Creating proposals and submitting to client for approval. Communicating with clients, management and crews before, during and after installation, walking job sites, checking for quality control and upselling opportunities.
o Growing the business by creating strong relationships with clients based on trust and growing the company's reputation by living our code of values and being exemplary in our code of care.
o Staying in tune with the latest and ahead of the curb. Participating in local, state and nationwide events representing the brand.
o Keeping organized by entering all communications, keeping track and on target for meeting specific KPI's and sales goals including daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
How We Measure Success
· Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical for the Business Developer to set the example in attendance for the rest of the team.
· Close Rate: Being able to close on leads are paramount to developing a business.
· Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.
· Budget vs Actual : Estimating properly is the key to success for both crews and clients.
· Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.
· Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all the above possible.
Job Requirements for Landscaping Business Developer
· Prior experience in the landscape industry will be critical in order to meet key performing indicators.
· Bachelor's degree or master's degree in landscape or related design field.
In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position.
· Clean background and driving history with experience driving a trailer
Benefits & Pay
The pay range for this position is $35,000 to $45,000 + commissions and is dependent on your experience as a landscaping professional as well as in leading a team.
Benefits after one year include paid vacation time, paid holiday, Company 401K with a company match up to 4%. Direct deposit, W9 at the end of each year.
