Salesperson / Account Manager
The Position
The
Sales Representative/Account Manager works to expand and grow our commercial
and residential landscape management, landscape & irrigation design build,
landscape lighting, and holiday lighting business by selling new services to
existing clients and pursuing new clients.
In addition, the Sales Representative/Account Manager maintains an
ongoing relationship with customers to encourage networking and repeat
business. This individual will perform activities
such as prospecting, leading sales opportunities, generating company awareness
through association involvement, and other activities as required to generate
sales.

Sales / Account Manager
High Payoff Activities:
The Sales / Account Manager will pursue and cultivate strong professional relationships with our
customers by analyzing the market, identifying viable target clients, reaching
decision-makers, and intensely focusing on turning leads into accounts and
sales. They will estimate and sell
landscape maintenance services to new and existing customers through base
contracted services and enhancements.
They will visit each client’s property to assess service
delivery vs. the SOW and customer expectations.
The Sales / Account Manager will provide a detailed report to the
customer and follow-up with each customer to ensure satisfaction with services. Maintain customer accounts.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Develop sales strategies and help develop sales presentation materials. Deliver effective sales presentations in
person. Professionally conduct meetings
with clients. Plan and manage
appointment schedules with office administrator. Maintain exceptional internal and external customer
communication. Maintain accurate sales
documentation. Maintain up-to-date
knowledge of all products and services and stay current with market trends. Address
clients' questions, comments, and concerns to ensure a high level of client
satisfaction.
Wage Range: Base Salary Plus Commission: 2 to 8% of Sales
Reports
to: The Sales / Account Manager will
report directly to the Owner.
Preferred Skills, Experience &
Requirements:
·
Extensive face-to-face selling experience in the
Green Industry
·
Experience managing multiple projects and able to
multi-task in a large territory
·
Proficient with computer software programs including
MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
·
Experience with a CRM tool (Salesforce) beneficial
·
Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a
longer selling cycle environment
·
Highly competitive, positive, and results driven
sales person
·
Excellent presentation skills
·
Excellent oral and written communication skills to
build client and solution/value-based proposals
·
Landscape Design & Horticultural experience
preferred
·
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Landscape Industry
work experience preferred
·
Coach-able, trainable, and have a good personality
·
Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market
segments preferred
·
3-5 years’ experience in the Landscape service
industry, Landscape design/build industry or similar industry with commercial
Landscape contract sales desirable
