Your Responsibilities as a Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead

Manage the Field

You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be walking job sites, checking for quality control, and making sure equipment is maintained and in serviceable order every day.

The team looks to you to keep things organized and to manage the route schedules

You ensure everything is wrapped up at the end of each day, communicate with Owner or Manager, and set to go for the next day.


How We Measure Success

Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical for the team lead to set an example in attendance for the rest of the team.

Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.

No Return Visits You’ll ensure quality control to make sure you never need to go back to redo a job, while addressing customers’ questions, and concerns on each job site professionally.

Crew Retention: Ensuring a healthy team environment and keeping people accountable will help reduce turnover.

Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service,

will keep them coming back for more opportunities and renewed contracts.

Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all the above possible.


Prior experience of two years in crew management in the landscaping, lawn service, will be critical to lead a team.  In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be

considered for this position:    

Must possess a valid Georgia drier’s license with clean MVR and ability to be added to the company’s

insurance policy

Previous driving history with experience pulling a 16’ trailer

Listens and follows instructions given from Owner or Manager for the day’s route and customer punch list items.

Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, topsoil application, lawn seeding, and lawn aerations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature, standing, kneeling, bending, walking. The Job environment will consist of hot and cold weather conditions


Benefits& Pay


The starting pay range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional as well as in managing a team.


Weekly Direct Deposit payroll, Uniforms, Insurance, PTO after 90 days
